Recently Carasco Photography had the pleasure of collaborating on an editorial shoot for Michigan Avenue Magazine with our friend renowned Mixologist Revae Schneider of Femme du Coupe!
Femme du Coupe is a brand new bar-styling company that specializes in crafting bespoke cocktails and bar concepts for in-home and professional use. The Femme du Coupe approach to cocktailing harkens back to a different time, when quality meant care and time-spent, a dedication to a craft and one-of-a-kind customization.
Here is a photo of one of Femme du Coupe’s custom Guinness cocktail:

Although they went to the same Junior High, High School, and College and they knew of each other, they didn’t meet until November of 2008 in Scotsdale while attending a mutual friend’s wedding.
Since Melissa had heard so many great things about all of Court’s friends, there was a dinner arranged at a local gourmet burger shop called Staxx to get introduced.
The soon-to-be couple sat across from each other and Kyle quickly caught Melissa’s attention with his attentiveness (and smooth move of sharing his mac-n-cheese : ).
After the second night of the trip it was pretty obvious that there was a very strong mutual interest in each other, they ended up spending the entire weekend together and were quickly smitten. On the last day of the trip Melissa threw out the idea of Kyle coming to visit Chicago, four days later he had booked his first of many plane tickets to come visit.
After a little over a year of going back and forth over thousands of miles, Kyle made the move to Chicago…in the middle of January during a huge snow storm.
“We had our separate places but it quickly became clear that it was not necessary since we spent every day together and effortlessly blended our lives. We found a fantastic apartment and set up house together in the summer of 2010. Surprisingly, cohabitation came easily to us and we were both certain that we would never want to live apart again.”
It was an honor to document their day! Congratulations again, Kyle and Melissa! Here are a couple of teasers from their wedding!
Carasco Photography had the pleasure of sponsoring the annual fundraiser for Water 1st, a non-for-profit organization providing people with safe water and ending the cycle of poverity.
There is an extreme lack of water globally and it kills children more than wars or earthquakes, malaria, HIV/Ads and TB combined.
Many girls spend an inordinate amount of time and effort in search of clean water and often cannot go to school as a result of this burdensome activity.
Poor people spend a high percentage of their household income on medical treatment to combat preventable illnesses caused by lack of water and toilets.
Through the implementation of sustainable, community managed water supply and sanitation projects, Water 1st addresses the most fundamental issues of poverty, childhood death and gender equality.

John just so happened to win a trip to Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day and decided to take Christine for a romantic getaway. As the travel day approached, John began to craft a surprise and in November of 2010 he popped the question on the Cliff of Mohr.
Needless to say, she said yes and they tied the knot on St. Patrick’s Day this year.
Congratulations again Christina & John!
Carasco Photography was pleased to photograph the American Heart Ball coordinated by Deseo Events. Kehoe Designs did a fantastic job with event styling for the Crystal Ballroom at Navy Pier.

Jessica and Allen heard about our company through Alice Padrul Bridal Couture. Jessica wanted a unique gown that would stand out from all of the mass produced gowns she was accustomed to seeing in national bridal magazines. She did a lot of research online, found Alice Padrul and flew in from Canada to start the design process.
We met the couple during their first trip to Chicago and photographed their engagement session around the city. They are hosting their wedding celebration this fall in Tulum, Mexico and we are so excited to be documenting their wedding!
Here are a few teasers from the session.
Three years ago, we photographed Seah & Rick’s Wedding at the Chicago History Museum. We were thrilled when they contacted us to document their son, Joseph’s portrait this spring. What a treat to document these milestones!
Here is a teaser just in time for Mother’s Day!
