We had the opportunity to collaborate with some truly amazing professionals during our recent fashion bridal shoot at the Affinia Chicago in the Gold Coast. Rising star, Giselle Ghofrani is debuting her new line of designer gowns under the label Giselle. The gowns shown below are Giselle Chicago designs made by skilled couture seamstresses at the Dress Doctor’s boutique in the Water Tower Place.
The Toulouse Gown
This gown is inspired by the works of Toulouse Lautrec such as the paintings and illustrations seen in French publication, Li Rire. This show stopping design features a removable skirt made of 16 layers of 100 percent silk organza. The Toulouse allows a clever bride to display whimsical elegance during the ceremony and flaunt her daring style for the reception.

Necklace worn here was created by Ani Afshar. Afshar designs custom pieces including accessories for individual bridesmaids that incorporate the bride’s color scheme and wedding elements. Visit her studio to discuss custom design options (by appointments only).

This shot was taken in the chic C-View Lounge at the Affinia Chicago.

Nicky dons Valentina peeptoes by James Ciccotti. James Ciccotti’s shoes can be dyed after the wedding so that you can show off these fabulous peeptoes again and again.

Below is the transitioned gown–once the skirt is removed the gown is transformed into a saucy cocktail dress for the reception.

The Katie Gown was inspired by an acquaintance of Giselle whose style is a melange of sophistication and spunk (represented by the sheer organza stripes that clings to a woman’s figure and the bows, respectively). This gown is transitional like the Toulouse and can be converted to a cocktail dress for the evening. The Katie Gown comes in both white and black.

Many thanks to our beautiful model Nicky Androes (Factor Women), Kari, and to all of the collaborators during the fashion bridal shoot. Be sure to look for our image in the September Anniversary Issue of Chicago Social as I Do Films premieres their vintage cinematography boutique. Stay tuned for the super 8 film from this shoot.
