AMY & CALEB
Ceremony: North Park Covenant Church
Reception: Dank Haus
Catering: Blue Rooster
Cake: Cafe Selmarie
DJ: Style Matters DJs
Florists: Anna Held Flower Shop
We met Amy through one of our brides from last year. She got to see firsthand how we interact with our clients on the wedding day and knew that she wanted to work with us.
Amy & Caleb met in grad school and instantly had a connection. It’s clear that their mutual interests and love for family make for a great partnership. They both were so excited about planning their wedding and Scott and I were really looking forward to shooting their celebration at the Dank Haus. It truly is a hidden gem and is such a unique venue for weddings.
Here are a few highlights from the day.
I love Amy’s classic pearls and vintage hair pins.
How cute are these two! And I am loving the plum colored sash ; )
Congratulations Amy & Caleb!! Hope you enjoy the teasers!
~Your guests can pre-register here (once the images are posted you can release the gallery to your friends & family)~

TEKNION
NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2009
The NeoCon World’s Trade Fair brings over 50,000 people to Chicago to view some of the most innovative products and designs from around the globe. There are over 1,200 showrooms and exhibits ranging from commercial to residential furnishings.
We’ve been shooting for Teknion for several years now and are so very honored to be a part of their annual sales conference in Chicago. Aside from being phenomenal to work with, they are the creators of genius business furniture systems that unite aesthetics and practical designs.
Here are a couple of sample systems from their lines.
District Line
TEKNION @ SPERTUS
Teknion held an event at the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies on Michigan Avenue. This architectural wonder emphasizes light in a symbolic ode to the center’s commitment to knowledge and enlightenment. The complex grid of glass creates a tawny glow in the evening.
“A Force for Change African American Art and the Julius Rosenwald Fund” is currently exhibited in the museum on the 10th floor.
Below is a description of the exhibition:
A Force for Change: African American Art and the Julius Rosenwald Fund is the first exhibition to explore the legacy of the Julius Rosenwald Fund created by the Chicago businessman and philanthropist to foster black leadership through the arts, literature, and scholarship. From 1928 to 1948, the Fund awarded stipends to hundreds of prominent and emerging African Americans artists, writers, and scholars across such disciplines as history, sociology, literature, and the visual and performing arts. A Force for Change will present the artistic and scholarly products of Julius Rosenwald’s support, and will include more than sixty paintings, sculptures, and works on paper by twenty-two Rosenwald fellows, as well as a selection of documentary and archival materials.
Artists include Elizabeth Catlett, Aaron Douglas, Katherine Dunham, Jacob Lawrence, Gordon Parks, Rose Piper, Augusta Savage, Charles White, and Hale Woodruff, among others. This exhibition was organized for Spertus Museum by guest curator Daniel Schulman, in collaboration with Spertus Museum Senior Curator Staci Boris, and will travel to the Allentown Art Museum in Pennsylvania and theMontclair Art Museum in New Jersey following Spertus’ presentation.
