I DO FILMS PREMIERE

Matt Buckman and Lori Roche of I Do Films threw a private soiree at their studio in Evanston for their company’s debut. I Do Films combines vintage Super 8mm film with the contemporary look and feel of video. We’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with this phenomenal company on several occasions and are impressed by what they are bringing to the industry. I  Do Films offers wedding, fashion and event cinematography with a vintage flair.

Here are a few pics from the event:

Renee and Duane’s wedding was an absolutely joy to document. From our first meeting, to second meeting, to the rehearsal dinner, they were laid back and let us be true documentarians.

They met at George Washington University and were in the same dormitory. Renee jokes that their relationship began as a love of convenience. But after spending some time with these two you can tell that they are definitely best friends.

We met Renee and her bridesmaids at the Ambassador East Hotel before the ceremony. No one had a cd player on them so the bridesmaids tuned in the clock radio in the room and landed on one the late Michael Jackson’s jams. Emily of Fig Media made sure to catch all of bridesmaids antics in between makeup touch ups and curling iron frenzy.

Renee initially went dress hunting with friends without success and finally decided to go alone so she could focus and take her time. So she checked out the Lazaro trunk show and met the designer! After trying on several dresses  and having a difficult time choosing one, Lazaro hand picked the dress that he thought complimented her style.

Beautiful arrangements by Ixia Flowers.

These are only the teasers so stay tuned for Part II. Congratulations Renee & Duane! More pics to come.

GISELLE CHICAGO & DRESS DOCTOR

We have had the great opportunity to collaborate with rising star, Giselle Ghofrani who is unveiling her designer collection of wedding gowns under the name Giselle Chicago. Custom alterations are included in the price of the gown which means that the gown will compliment and fit the bride’s body type (rather than the bride trying to modify her body in order to fit into the gown). She and her mother, Soheila Ghofrani own the Dress Doctor located in the Gold Coast’s Water Tower Place Professional Suites. The Dress Doctor is the exclusive tailor for Vera Wang and Belle Vie and the business itself has been around for over 18 years.  Soheila applies her 25 years of experience to restoring, recreating and altering couture gowns. They also have a new line of Mother of the Bride [Groom] dresses that are tailor made for their clients. Be sure to contact them directly to inquire about Giselle Chicago gowns, Mother of the Bride gowns, and expert tailoring service.

Here are a few candid shots of the fitting before our fashion bridal shoot. Stay tuned for more pics:
