CLAUDIA & LEANDRO
Engagement Session
Claudia and Leandro wanted to have their engagement session in locations that incorporated their heritage and had some significance to both of them. We started the session on 18th Street in Pilsen. Scott and I both really love this urban neighborhood for its rooted history and evolving artist culture.
Here are a few pics from the first part of our shoot:
As we were walking, we noticed that a hydrant had been opened down the street. Claudia and Leandro deserve serious kudos for playing around in the water.
After shooting around Pilsen, we headed to Little Village. Long celebrated as the birthplace of Chicago Blues and of course, the Maxwell Street Polish, it was once regarded as a cultural phenomenon and lured the likes of Simon de Beauvoir, Arthur Shay and other artists. Claudia and Leandro were feeling nostalgic and wanted to stop by Jim’s Original Polish Stand.
We’re looking forward to their upcoming wedding at Hotel Intercontinental.

James Ciccotti recently celebrated his 10 year anniversary of its exclusive bridal shoe collection. It isn’t common to hear beautiful and comfortable in the same sentence when it comes to shoes. But these designs pass the test as brides rave about being able to wear their gorgeous heels all night long. And what’s even more fabulous about these shoes other than comfort, is that the satin designs can be dyed later so that you can wear them after the wedding.
We’re pleased to have James Ciccotti as a featured vendor for our exclusive bridal event next February and congratulate him on his continued success. Be sure to visit James Ciccotti’s Lincoln Park salon.

CAROLINE & JEFF
Engagement Shoot
Caroline and Jeff are getting married at the A New Leaf next year. We decided to take them around the theatre district in downtown Chicago for their engagement session.
They were telling us a bit about the history of this alley named ‘Nederlander Way’ that they learned from the Ghost Tour. We’ll save the story line for the tour guides, but Caroline and Jeff convinced us that this would be an interesting tour for anyone that appreciates Chicago architecture and history.
Here are a few pics from the shoot:
We had a great time with you two! Looking forward to the wedding next year!
