Holiday Party Trends

Sep 19, 2018 | Trends Tips

As summer dwindles and Labor Day weekend passes, holiday event brainstorming begins. We’ve pulled a few of our favorite social event photos for holiday planning inspiration.

A FINE HELLO

Set the tone for the party as guests enter with warm ambiance and intrigue. A performance element like a champagne aerialist or an electric violinist can be a great conversational piece. Passed hot toddies or a clever drink station after coat check are the perfect creature comforts as the holidays roll around. Let the Instagram posts begin!

WINTER GREENS + METALLIC

Whether you are hosting a sit-down dinner or cocktail party for guests, you can mix warm elements with bold or neutral colors. Consider evergreen branches and metallic tones.

WARM AMBIANCE

Lighting goes a long way with design and can elevate the atmosphere with a splash of color or texture on walls. Mix elements of comfort and elegance with lounges throughout the space which can encourage conversation and mingling. You needn’t stick with “holiday” colors. Feel free to take your guests abroad with a “Moroccan” themed lounge!

THROWBACKS

Around the holidays, people feel nostalgic and enjoy a trip down memory lane. If your company culture is less formal, consider throwback attire. You could incorporate entertainment that moves through the generations (especially if the company has a history of more than a few decades) or simply let your employees show off their 80s style with neon elements and big hair. It would certainly make selfies a lot more fun.

FOODIE TAKEAWAYS: FOOD TRUCKS

Having a tough time figuring out favors? Offer a food truck for your guests instead. They will leave happy with tacos, warm donuts or other delicious treats in hand.
