How to Scan Your Old Photos

Nov 25, 2020 | Trends & Tips

The holidays are a lot different now and we are looking for new ways to connect with the people we love. More than ever, we appreciate the moments we have with our families especially looking over old photographs.

Do you have boxes of prints you haven’t looked at in years? Convert your old photos into digital prints with a few easy steps. From there, you can easily share them with family members, order personalized products and keep them archived on your computer so if anything happens to the print, you have these images backed up elsewhere.

We’re going to show you three easy tips for getting the best digital scan.

Tips for Scanning

  1. Scan your print in natural (daylight)
  2. Put your photo(s) on a plain backdrop (a sheet of paper could work well as a simple background)
  3. Keep ½ inch gap between photos if you are photographing multiple prints.
  4. Keep all 4 corners of the photos visible  (so you can crop later)
  5. Tap the screen to focus the camera
